Business Analyst

We’re working with an established financial services business — a consumer lender operating across several African markets — and they’re looking for a detail-oriented, inquisitive Business Analyst to support product development across its domains.

Working closely with product owners and business stakeholders, you’ll bridge business needs and technical delivery — unpacking complex systems, translating challenges into clear requirements, and supporting execution with solid documentation, analysis and solution design. You’ll gain exposure to the full spectrum of the business — from credit and collections to client acquisition, onboarding and system integrations.

What you’ll do
• Collaborate with product owners to gather and document business requirements through workshops, interviews and data analysis
• Create solution-design documents, user stories, wireframes and process flows
• Analyse current-state processes and help design future-state solutions that improve customer experience and efficiency
• Define and maintain business rules and configuration parameters across products and systems
• Align cross-functional teams (development, credit, data, operations) on scope and objectives
• Support testing and validation, and contribute to backlog grooming and sprint planning
• Maintain structured documentation (e.g. Confluence)

What you’ll bring
• 2–5 years of experience in business analysis, product support or functional consulting — ideally within financial services or technology
• A solid understanding of business-process analysis, requirements gathering and documentation best practice
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis and validation

Working model
Hybrid, based in Cape Town — three days a week in the office (in office for the first three months).
