Client Reporting Analyst (12-month FTC)

We’re working with an established investment management firm, and they’re looking for a Client Reporting Analyst to join their client operations team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover).

Although the role is operational, they’re after someone genuinely technical — comfortable using modern AI tools to work smarter, with exposure to Power BI, SQL or some programming a real advantage. You’ll service clients invested through investment management agreements, delivering accurate reporting to tight deadlines while continually improving how it’s done.

What you’ll do
• Co-ordinate, produce and check client reporting to set deadlines — daily and weekly reports; monthly, quarterly and annual valuations; investment reports; and ad-hoc client reports
• Produce quarter-end analysis and statistical data
• Maintain records of reporting for audit purposes
• Liaise with internal teams — client managers, portfolio managers, and performance and attribution
• Keep the CRM accurate and up to date
• Support the smooth onboarding of new clients and restructures
• Continually update procedures to reduce risk and find efficiencies

What you’ll bring
• A relevant degree
• At least 2 years’ industry or operations experience
• Knowledge of financial markets (instruments and products)
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to optimise workflows and boost productivity
• Intermediate-to-advanced MS Excel, and proficiency in PowerPoint
• A client-focused, collaborative and results-driven approach

Advantageous
• An Investment Management Certificate or a related industry qualification
• Exposure to Power BI, SQL or programming

Working model
Office-based in Cape Town. 12-month fixed-term contract, starting as soon as possible.
