Client Reporting Analyst
Location: Cape Town (in office)
Type: Fixed-term contract, around 12 months
About the role
We’re working with an established asset management business, and their client reporting team is looking for a Client Reporting Analyst on a fixed-term basis of around 12 months. The team handles the setup, production, and distribution of regular client and regulatory reporting.
The role is to service clients invested through an Investment Management Agreement (or equivalent) by delivering agreed reporting within set deadlines. It’s an operational role, but they’re after someone with a strong technical streak who keeps looking for ways to reduce risk, find efficiencies, and adapt processes as client needs and the industry change.
What you’ll do
• Coordinate, produce, and check reporting to set timeframes and client deadlines: daily and weekly reports, monthly, quarterly and annual valuations, quarterly and annual investment reports, and ad-hoc client reports
• Produce quarter-end analysis and statistical data
• Keep records of when reports were sent, for audit purposes
• Support various other administration requirements, including supporting client operations colleagues
• Liaise with internal teams across client management, portfolio management, and performance and attribution
• Keep the CRM accurate and updated in good time
• Support the smooth onboarding of new clients and restructures
What you’ll bring
• A relevant degree
• At least two years of industry or operations experience
• Knowledge of financial markets (instruments and products)
• An Investment Management Certificate or related qualification (preferable)
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel, plus MS PowerPoint
• Hands-on experience using AI platforms and tools to streamline workflows and boost productivity
• Strong technical leaning, with exposure to Power BI, SQL, or some programming experience an advantage
