Intermediate–Senior Data Analyst (Data Translator)

About the role
We’re working with an advanced data and analytics company that bridges business needs and technology, building analytical capabilities and bespoke, technology-agnostic solutions across various cloud platforms for their clients.
They’re looking for a Data Translator/Analyst to support operational and analytical needs. Working alongside the wider team, you’ll provide data-related support, investigation, and reporting, troubleshooting and resolving data anomalies and issues. It suits someone savvy about both business and data, who likes getting hands-on with complex business questions.
What you’ll do
• Perform extensive data validation and quality assurance analysis across large datasets
• Organize and lead meetings with business and operational data owners
• Coordinate and communicate between business users, balancing requirements and resources to solve business problems
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues
• Build tabular and visual reports in Power BI
• Work closely with engineering and operations to document business processes
• Work independently and with the team to understand database structures and business processes
• Identify opportunities to improve data and business processes
• Help form data management and governance processes within the team
• Help standardize business data requirements and company measures
• Provide insights at the speed of business while keeping data integrity and reporting accuracy high
What you’ll be doing day to day
You’ll make sure metrics are tracked properly, working with business stakeholders to create and automate ad-hoc analytical dashboards and reports that move the business forward. You’ll also handle a range of rapid-turnaround reporting requirements, delivering quick insights while keeping reporting accurate and consistent.
What you’ll bring
• 3+ years in a data analyst or similar role
• Strong Power BI skills for building tabular and visual reports
• Experience with the MS data and analytics stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, SQL Server)
• Experience with the Azure data and analytics stack
• A sharp, business-savvy approach to understanding and solving data problems
Nice to have
• Product Owner experience
