A healthcare organisation in Cape Town is running a major systems-renewal programme and needs a Full-Stack Developer to build applications from design through to implementation in Angular and Java (Spring Boot).
The digital systems here support clinical work end to end, including the analysis and reporting clinicians rely on to make decisions. It is real, consequential software, built in an agile scrum team.
What you’ll do
- Develop applications from design to implementation, individually and as part of a team, in Angular and Java (Spring Boot)
- Write high-quality, reusable, well-documented, efficient code and the test scripts that go with it
- Participate in code reviews
- Maintain applications and provide technical support
- Provide detailed estimates and deliver features on time
- Work in an agile scrum team following software development best practice
- Create and maintain software design and architecture documentation
What you’ll need
- Solid experience with Angular 7 or higher
- Working experience with Java 8 or higher, Spring Boot, and REST and/or SOAP services
- Microservices experience and a good understanding of microservices architecture
- Test-driven development and functional testing
- SQL and NoSQL databases
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- High attention to detail, and a proven delivery record without close supervision
Nice to have
- Systems interface development
- Healthcare interoperability standards — HL7, DICOM, FHIR, XML
- Git, Jenkins, Docker, Flyway and Jira
- Experience in a healthcare environment
