About the role
We’re working with a fast-growing Cape Town tech startup building smart digital solutions in the urban mobility space, scaling across South Africa and expanding internationally. They’re looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer with a real knack for Vue.js and Flutter.
Their solution runs on a Django (REST API) server architecture, so Django and Python experience (or a willingness to learn) is highly beneficial. As a key member of the tech team, you’ll help scale the client-facing platforms, enhance existing features, and build new ones to support a growing user base. You’ll collaborate with a forward-thinking, agile team and take ownership of work that has real impact. A genuine eye for design and empathy for the end user matters here.

What you’ll do
• Create and maintain responsive, user-friendly interfaces using Vue.js and Flutter, across mobile (Android/Apple/Huawei) and browser-based dashboards
• Work with designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into high-quality, interactive frontends
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with RESTful APIs, ensuring smooth communication with connected devices and third-party systems, or build out your own features end-to-end, including backend
• Optimize frontend performance for speed, scalability, and cross-platform compatibility
• Write clean, modular, well-documented code that follows best practice
• Contribute to technical discussions and help shape the frontend architecture
What you’ll bring
• 4+ years as a frontend developer, with strong expertise in Vue.js, Nuxt, TypeScript, and Flutter (Python/Django advantageous)
• A proven ability to build responsive, visually appealing, performant interfaces for apps, dashboards, and websites
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and working with backend systems
• Familiarity with Agile development environments
• A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is beneficial but not required
Nice to have
• Python/Django, or a strong willingness to learn
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) or DevOps practices
• Exposure to AI IDEs or modern frontend tools
