We’re working with an established logistics business, and they’re looking for a Hub Manager to run one of its distribution hubs in Nelspruit.
You’ll coordinate all operational, administrative and planning functions so the hub hits its KPIs efficiently — managing client and supplier interaction, cost, inventory and risk, and leading the operational team.
What you’ll do
Cost & operations
• Manage service-provider, customer and supplier scorecards against cost, quality and service-level requirements
• Track business measurements and drive sustainable performance
• Manage delivery frequencies, lead times and bay performance against scheduling, and report deviations
• Manage, control and reconcile the hub budget
• Coordinate warehouse activities to maximise labour productivity, apply FIFO and optimise vehicle utilisation
• Own local transport planning, and manage vehicle loading/off-loading to planned sequence
Inventory & risk
• Coordinate labour, procurement and delivery of parcels to client stores
• Apply FIFO across the warehouse floor, and manage client relations and store-management interface
• Keep aged parcels, missorts and misscans under target through daily investigation and reporting
• Manage claims, housekeeping and a safe working environment in line with the OHS Act
What you’ll bring
• Grade 12 (Matric), plus a diploma in Road & Transport Management, Warehousing or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years in a leadership / middle-management role within a warehousing environment
• Experience managing a team of team-leaders
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
Advantageous
• Experience managing a Health & Safety programme to legal specifications
