We’re working with an established retail business, and they’re looking for an Intermediate Full-Stack Developer to build and maintain the software behind its operations, using C#/.NET on the back end and React or Vue on the front end.
You’ll own features end-to-end, work with SQL databases, and collaborate with product owners, business analysts and operations to turn business needs into working software.
What you’ll do
• Design, develop and maintain software using C#/.NET on the back end and React or Vue.js on the front end
• Build and maintain back-end systems, data processing and asynchronous workflows
• Design relational database schemas and write complex SQL queries and stored procedures
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Drive quality, performance and maintainability — clean code, automated testing, documentation and scalability
• Support critical releases and production issues, ensuring high availability and reliability
What you’ll bring
• 3–5 years in full-stack development with C# and .NET (Framework and/or .NET Core / .NET 5/6+)
• Proven experience building modern, responsive UIs with React or Vue.js
• Strong SQL — schema design, query optimisation and stored procedures
• Strong analytical and debugging skills, attention to detail and high code-quality standards
• Excellent communication and a collaborative approach
Advantageous
• Cloud platforms and infrastructure
• ASP.NET MVC, Blazor or .NET MAUI
• Message brokers (RabbitMQ or Kafka) and event-driven architectures
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, and agile tools (Scrum, Kanban, Jira)
Working model
Hybrid, based in Cape Town, with some in-office days.
