We’re working with an established travel company, and they’re looking for an Intermediate Full-Stack Engineer to design, develop and maintain reliable, scalable software across its platform.
You’ll write clean, efficient, well-documented code, collaborate closely with product managers, designers and testers, and help uphold quality across the team.
What you’ll do
• Design, develop and maintain reliable, scalable applications to defined business and user requirements
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable code to established standards, and take part in code reviews
• Troubleshoot bugs and performance issues, and develop and execute unit, integration and system tests
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions — system structure, data flow and scalability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and take part in sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives
• Mentor junior developers and help improve the team’s standards and tools
What you’ll bring
• 4+ years in software development, with a strong focus on Python, Django and React (Go a plus)
• Proficiency with SQL, including moderately complex queries
• Experience with Web / REST / GraphQL APIs and hands-on data modelling
• Command-line comfort and version control (Git), and familiarity with the application stack (e.g. nginx, uwsgi)
• Strong testing knowledge (unit, integration, system) and clean, maintainable coding practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Experience using AI tooling (e.g. Claude, Gemini, Copilot) in daily development
Working model
Hybrid in Cape Town — one day a week in the office (Mondays).
