We’re working with an established technology business that builds digital products used across Africa, and they’re looking for an Intermediate Java Developer to join the team building one of its products.
You’ll work as a full-stack developer across the software development lifecycle — planning, development, testing, deployment and maintenance — building web applications, cross-platform mobile apps and third-party API integrations.
What you’ll do
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Build web applications and cross-platform mobile apps, and integrate third-party APIs
• Apply strong SQL and data-processing skills to deliver reliable solutions
• Work as a dependable, quality-focused member of a collaborative team
What you’ll bring
• At least 6 years of relevant development experience
• Strong Java experience
• Strong SQL and data-processing skills (statistical-analysis experience is beneficial)
• A great team player, problem-solver and quick learner
Advantageous
• AI and machine-learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• NLP and chatbot development
• The WhatsApp Business API and other messaging platforms
Working model
Hybrid, based in Cape Town — two days a week in the office, with flexi-hours.
