Intermediate .NET (AWS) Developer
Location: Remote, anywhere in South Africa

About the role
We’re working with an established business looking for an Intermediate .NET Developer to join its engineering team. You’ll deliver enhancements, work on new initiatives, and resolve live issues, with a full understanding of the system development life cycle (define, build, test) and a track record of shipping changes, enhancements, and new functionality.
This is a fully remote role open anywhere in South Africa, though you’ll need to be willing to fly up for occasional events and team functions.
What you’ll do
• Deliver solutions to agreed project timelines
• Work to the coding standards set by the technical management team
• Scope and estimate development work accurately
• Support and maintain production systems
• Log support queries and resolve system queries within agreed timelines
• Continuously identify and solve technical problems
What you’ll bring
• A National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science
• A proven track record working in agile teams and delivering agile software projects
• At least 2 years as a C# .NET developer across MVC, .NET Core, WebAPIs, jQuery/JavaScript/JSON, HTML/CSS, GitLab, Visual Studio, and SQL Server
• Understanding of Continuous Integration, DevOps, and SOA
Nice to have
• 1+ years in financial services or fintech
• Message Queuing (RabbitMQ, SQS, MQS, or other)
• AWS native cloud services (e.g. EKS)
• Unit testing, code coverage, code metrics, containers, AWS CI/CD
• Experience with ELK Stack and New Relic
• Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoys problem-solving
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
