We’re working with an established retail business, and they’re looking for an IT Applications Support Engineer to join a supportive, fast-moving support team with plenty of room to grow.
You’ll provide hands-on applications support in a high-volume, pressurised retail environment, working closely with the wider IT and software development teams. It’s a role for someone who already knows the support world well — not someone brand new to it.
What you’ll do
• Provide day-to-day applications support across the business
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, escalating where needed
• Collaborate with other departments, including software development
• Travel to stores as needed, including when new stores open
What you’ll bring
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an applications support role
• Fluent English, spoken and written; the ability to understand and communicate in Afrikaans is a plus
• A valid driver’s licence and your own vehicle
• A great attitude and a willingness to learn — much of the training happens on the job
• The resilience to work in a high-volume, pressurised environment

Working model
In office to start, moving to hybrid, based in Cape Town. There may be an opportunity to move onto a late shift in time.
