About the role
We’re working with a fast-growing fintech business at the forefront of next-generation blockchain technology. They’re expanding their technical team and looking for a Junior Blockchain Developer to support the senior development team in designing, building, testing, and maintaining smart contracts and blockchain-based applications.
This role is ideal for someone early in their career who’s eager to build hands-on experience in distributed systems, smart contract development, and backend integrations. You’ll work in a fast-moving, well-funded environment where your work has an immediate, scaled impact, while you continuously learn and contribute to the broader engineering team.

What you’ll do
• Assist in developing, testing, and deploying smart contracts
• Support the full lifecycle of blockchain development, from requirements through deployment and maintenance
• Work closely with senior developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and module design where relevant
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code under guidance
• Take part in smart contract code reviews and implement feedback
• Help monitor smart contract performance and transaction activity
• Support backend services that interact with blockchain networks
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues with blockchain integrations
• Maintain technical documentation and keep up with emerging trends and best practice

What you’ll bring
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Basic understanding of blockchain concepts and distributed ledger technologies
• Exposure to Solidity and smart contract development
• Familiarity with Ethereum or similar blockchain platforms
• Basic backend development knowledge (e.g. Node.js, APIs)
• Understanding of version control such as Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and a genuine willingness to learn

Nice to have
• Smart contract frameworks (e.g. Hardhat, Truffle)
• Web3 libraries (e.g. ethers.js, web3.js)
• Testing frameworks and debugging tools
• Security best practice in smart contract development
• RESTful APIs and database integration
