• Use approved AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) responsibly to boost productivity

What you’ll bring
• Foundational experience or a strong academic background in Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, SSMS)
• An understanding of data warehousing concepts (dimensional modelling, fact/dimension tables)
• Basic experience with ETL/ELT tools and processes (preferably SSIS)
• Familiarity with version control, primarily Git/GitHub
• A positive, problem-solving mindset and a strong eagerness to learn

Nice to have
• Exposure to cloud and modern platforms (Microsoft Fabric, AWS, Google Cloud, or Databricks)
• Familiarity with consuming REST APIs and processing JSON/XML data
• Exposure to analytics platforms, specifically Power BI or SSRS
• Basic understanding of automation and DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines and agile delivery (Jira)
• Awareness of data governance, including POPIA compliance, RBAC, and data lineage
