We’re working with an established technology business that builds digital products used across Africa, and they’re looking for a Product Manager to take ownership of its utilities solutions — for sectors such as water and electricity — from concept through to market delivery and ongoing enhancement.
You’ll shape product strategy, manage the product lifecycle, and drive go-to-market initiatives that maximise customer adoption and business value.
What you’ll do
• Take products from concept through to market delivery and ongoing enhancement
• Shape product strategy and manage the full product lifecycle
• Identify market opportunities, define product requirements and develop business cases for new features
• Facilitate product forums to prioritise the roadmap, and manage product documentation
• Oversee the delivery pipeline, monitor deployments, and support successful launches and adoption
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure solutions meet customer needs
What you’ll bring
• 5+ years’ experience as a Product Manager / Owner, ideally in the utilities sector (e.g. water, electricity)
• Go-to-market and product commercial experience
• Proven experience managing and delivering enterprise software solutions
• Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, project management and attention to detail
• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (an engineering degree is preferred)
Working model
Hybrid, based in Cape Town — two days a week in the office, with flexi-hours.
