Senior Platform Engineer

About the role
We’re working with a fast-growing fintech business at the forefront of next-generation blockchain technology. They’re expanding their technical team and looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performing platform infrastructure and applications.
This role sits where software development, cloud infrastructure, and reliability engineering meet, making sure systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with business goals. It combines hands-on full-stack development, cloud and infrastructure ownership, and operational reliability, while contributing to technical direction. You’ll work in a fast-moving, well-funded environment where your work has an immediate, scaled impact.
What you’ll do
Platform and application development
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using modern full-stack technologies (Node.js, TypeScript, React)
• Build and support microservices-based architectures and APIs
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code
• Take part in and lead code reviews to uphold engineering standards
Cloud and infrastructure engineering
• Deploy, manage, and optimize systems on Microsoft Azure (including AKS and Azure SQL)
• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, ARM templates)
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance
Reliability and operations (SRE focus)
• Own system reliability, monitoring, and observability (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
• Implement fault-tolerant, self-healing system designs
What you’ll bring
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7–10+ years in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)
• Strong Microsoft Azure experience (AKS, Azure SQL, DevOps)
• Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Microservices architecture and API development
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar)
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization
• Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills
Nice to have
• Service mesh (e.g. Istio)
• Real-time systems (WebSockets, event-driven architecture)
• Knowledge of financial services or regulated environments
• Observability tooling (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
• Familiarity with security frameworks and audits
