We’re working with an established investment management firm, and they’re looking for a Software Engineer (AI & Data) — a builder who combines software development, data engineering and AI in one role.
This is a role for a developer excited by the shift toward AI-native development. You’ll own delivery end-to-end — from shaping requirements with stakeholders through build, test and deployment — using modern AI tooling to move faster. It’s not a pure-developer role: real data and AI experience is a must.
What you’ll do
• Work with product owners and subject-matter experts to gather requirements and translate them into technical specs, owning delivery end-to-end
• Build solutions in Python and C#, using AI coding assistants to accelerate development
• Design, build and maintain API integrations and system connections across the Azure application ecosystem
• Prototype and deploy AI-assisted features — document classification, anomaly detection, intelligent workflow routing, natural-language querying
• Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines with Azure Data Factory and Databricks, and write SQL for data modelling and reporting
• Build and maintain Power BI datasets and dashboards, and Power Automate / Power Apps workflows
• Own CI/CD configuration and deployment with Azure DevOps and GitHub, and perform code reviews
What you’ll bring
• 3+ years’ experience across software development, data engineering and AI (more-senior candidates also considered)
• Strong Python and C#
• Hands-on data engineering — ETL/ELT, SQL, and tools such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks
• Experience building AI-assisted features and using modern AI tooling
• Power BI, and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
• CI/CD with Azure DevOps and GitHub, working within an agile framework
• Strong communication
