We’re working with an established asset-management business, and they’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join a team that works closely with colleagues in the UK.
The role sits in asset management — you’ll combine basic investment acumen with strong BA fundamentals, translating complex business needs into clear requirements.
What you’ll do
• Analyse and document business requirements, simplifying complex topics
• Bridge business and technical teams on investment / investing products
• Apply a methodical approach to solving ambiguous, complex problems
• Work within change-delivery processes and tooling
What you’ll bring
• 5+ years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst, ideally within asset management, capital markets or financial services
• Basic investment acumen (e.g. the difference between an equity and a bond, or a coupon and a dividend)
• Experience working on an investing / investment product (e.g. a trading tool or wealth/investment platform)
• Strong communication — able to explain an API to a CEO
• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving
• Excel proficiency (critical)
Advantageous
• Agile / Scrum experience (very highly regarded)
• Integration and data-integration awareness (API understanding)
• Practical AI experience (using AI for productivity, ideally implemented into products or workflows)
• Change-delivery tooling (Jira, Confluence, DevOps), and SQL / basic code comprehension

Hybrid, based in Cape Town.
