We’re working with an established wealth-management business, and they’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join a team that works closely with colleagues in the UK.
The role centres on wealth-management / IFA (independent financial adviser) workflows — you’ll translate complex business needs into clear requirements, bridging business and technical teams.
What you’ll do
• Analyse and document business requirements, translating complex concepts into simple language
• Bridge business and technical teams, working on wealth-management / IFA workflows
• Apply a clear, methodical approach to solving complex problems
• Work within change-delivery processes and tooling
What you’ll bring
• 5+ years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst, ideally within financial services or fintech
• Wealth-management / IFA workflow understanding (e.g. annual review cadence, the paraplanner role, and what Compliance looks for in good vs bad advice)
• Strong communication — able to explain an API to a CEO
• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving
• Excel proficiency (critical)
Advantageous
• Experience at a platform / wealth-tech firm
• Agile / Scrum experience, and integration / API awareness
• Practical AI experience (using AI for productivity, ideally implemented into products or workflows)
• Change-delivery tooling (Jira, Confluence, DevOps), and SQL / basic code comprehension
Working model
Hybrid, based in Cape Town.
